PHASE 1: SPACE SCIENCE FICTION, FROM PAPER TO SCREEN AND VIDEO GAME
The first stage offers a thematic journey centered on science fiction and the space imaginary, with an exhibition space divided into major sections: merchandising and toys (how the product transforms over time), comics, film and audiovisual formats, and the development of video games.
The installation is completed with immersive scenography inspired by homes from the 80s and 90s —recreated bedrooms and kitchens— where the collectible items are integrated into everyday scenes to reinforce the feeling of “traveling through time.” The exhibition also includes a music section featuring iconic physical formats, such as vinyl records and CDs, as part of the cultural narrative of each decade.
“Vintage Invasion is not just an exhibition: it’s a way of exploring how genres change and how popular culture is experienced differently in each era. Visitors will see that evolution in real pieces and in settings that feel familiar to them,” state organizers.
